OUR TRIP TO INDIA (FEBRUARY, 2010)

Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to spend two weeks in India on my third
missionary trip.  This trip was by far the best missionary trip that the Lord
our God has given me the opportunity to take.

Most of the time the work was confined to Hyderarbad, but we had the opportunity
to venture out and to cover some 2000 miles plus.

From the first, after a 16 hour plane ride, exhausted and just tired.  God gave
me and my team the strength to do what he had called us to do.

India is a very rich and fertile ground for work in the field of evangelism.
The people there are so warm, open and ready for the gospel.

The first day of service we ordained a young minister into the Gospel Ministry.
The drive and determination of this young man was truly a joy to my soul to
see; even though he will experience much opposition not only for himself, but his entire family. To see the motivation in the spirit of this young man, made my heart glad to
be a part of the ordination service. The service was truly wonderful.

Some days later we ventured to other areas that I cannot pronounce nor spell,
but the thing that I found so wonderful was that no matter where we went;
the Gospel was always well-received.

At one point I found myself at the India Theological Seminary
addressing the graduating Class of 2010.  I would  like to add that I never
dreamed that a little country boy from North Carolina would ever do.

In India, I also had the opportunity to do a six hour class that
deals with the Gates to the Soul.  After completing the six hour mini or
abridged version, I was asked by the Dean if I would consider coming back next
year to do a two day seminar at six different campuses.  I am hoping in the
Lord our God that He will make this possible.

As we were there, we had to go into some very hostile areas where Christianity are not
well-received at all.  I could only think, " yea tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me", and God did again what only He can do.

While there, the team had an opportunity to hand out many toys that we had
brought as gifts to one of our eight Grace Baptist Churches that we have in India.
The smiles on the children's faces were full of thankfulness that words cannot express.

The inauguration of our eighth church in India was also a very high point of the
entire experience. A church in a village where was no electric, nor running
water until the week that we arrived.  As a matter of fact, the electric did
not come on until the night that we were there to do the initial service.  A
church that has only twenty members at the most, but I know if the Lord
allows me to return next year that church will have doubled its number of
members.

There were so many wonderful things the Lord blessed me and my team to
experience, that we cannot enter them all in our "From The Pastors Study".

If you have any questions about our evangelical outreach, or desire to travel to India on our next trip, feel free to contact me.  (Contact Page)

If not, I can only ask that you pray for us as we continue to reach the world
for the cause of Christ.
