VISION PAST
It is with the greatest of pleasure that I write of the Visions and not
vision that the Lord has given me in regards to our church.
First, let me say that there are three categories of visions that I have been given.
Vision past, vision present, and vision future.
Vision past speaks to how God formed our church with less than ten people that dared to
believe and trust that what I was doing, was, indeed, what God had called
me to do. To start a new ministry in an area where there were
already; what some believed, were enough churches. As a matter of
fact, there is in the township of our community, those who had
pre-determined that they did not desire another church in the area.
With a few faithful believers we began with a Bible Study, and that grew into a very small
church. The ministry started in the Joyner family room, later to the
deck, and then we rented one room in the Willingboro High School; later
a building that God gave us with members pitching in to help
renovate. God did not stop there, He has blessed us with our present
edifice.
The ministry has grown from the vision of one man to a membership of over 200, and we are
still growing. Growth that is not only numerical, but God has and is
still blessing our church in the Spirit.
We have seen members break free from the darkness of the flesh and into the
marvelous light of Lord our God.
Vision Past also includes missionary work, domestic and foreign. In vision past, God
blessed us to have 36 churches in India and to ordain and install 22 ministers.
In vision past, it was never our intent to be a mega church, but it has always been our
intent to be a mega ministry. A ministry that has no concern about
race, or color of skin.
It will be my great pleasure in the future to share in some small way with all our visions.
We only ask that you will continue to pray to the God of our salvation, and ask Him to
never allow us to lose sight of the vision which is truly Jesus The Christ
Without a vision, the people perish.
